Pralou Zintzen moved to Barcelona 18 months ago. Here, she found a home. A refuge. A place to grow artistically, to root and to raise her kids. She paints and draws since she was a teenager. She studied archaeology but decided to dedicate herself to the arts and crafts. Her daily creative practice is made of painting, drawing, photography and upholstery.
Her work is a mediative experience, a walk through nature, an artistic path to approach the emotions of being part of nature. To feel rooted, stable, serene. The entire process is deeply influenced by the Wabi-Sabi and Shibui aesthetics. It is never complicated; simple, implicit, modest, silent, natural, humble, everydayness. Mistakes are welcome. Childhood and motherhood experiences are also intrinsically linked with her artistic dialogue.
In this exhibition, she invites you to slow down, take a breath, wander through Casa Protea and her work; clear your mind and feel the present moment.
